“Living with Epilepsy.” “Let’s talk about it.”

Good morning and Happy February !

This morning I would like to take a moment to  introduce you to a my very dear friend and brilliant physician of Pediatric Medicine, Dr. Tamiko Jackson-McArthur.  Dr. Jackson is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the Connecticut area.  She has received her Medical Degree from Howard University College of Medicine and has been practicing medicine for over 20 years now.  Working as a Pediatrician, Dr. Jackson-McArthur works with many teens that have epilepsy and helps guide them through their various challenges. One of these teen challenges is not being able to drive or obtain a driver’s license when their friends do.  Dr. Jackson-McArthur is well versed with the  knowledge of epilepsy and works closely with her patients and their families. Dr. Jackson-McArthur also works closely with various Neurologists and Psychologists to help her patients succeed in a less stressful manner.  Dr. Jackson-McArthur has a gentle, kind, loving heart.  She talks to each teen, by putting herself in each of her patients “shoes”, and shows empathy to each and everyone, especially those struggling with epilepsy.  Dr. Jackson-McArthur, I want to thank you for going above and beyond for all of your patients, but especially for those that are struggling with epilepsy.
