Good Morning and Happy Friday!
It is said that the “strongest people are not those who show strength in front of us, but are those who win battles we know nothing about.” Those of us who have been diagnosed with Epilepsy know that it can be a silent battle that we struggle with internally. Sharing your diagnosis with a family member, friend, boyfriend or even an employer can be both very challenging and scary at the same time. Personally speaking, when I was first given the diagnosis of having Epilepsy, the realization that I had to share it with others was quite frightening, my first thought was”oh no they are now going to look at me differently”. When, in fact the person or persons that I have shared my story with now see me as being filled with “strength and courage.” The challenge is finding your inner strength and courage. Thinking and feeling that it will be difficult or impossible is normal. I promise once you find your inner “strength and courage” you will begin to win your battle.
Don’t forget to join me on my journey to visit “Canine Partners for for life”, February 23-24th. Facebook live, but for now I am on Facebook, twitter and WordPress!
Have a lovely day!
