“Living with Epilepsy.” “Let’s talk about it.”

Good Morning and welcome India and the Philippines to my blog!  Thank you for joining.

Well, the good news for today is that the book I have been working on for a very long time, with all of my heart and soul, to help those struggling with epilepsy will be released in June. Kaity is my Co-Author. I will be on a local Radio Station next Wednesday, March 8th at 8am, to discuss it.  More information and channel to follow next week.  Bad news is that my very exciting meeting with the Epilepsy Foundation of CT.,  unfortunately had to be postponed until next week.

Happy March 1, 2017! Hoping you enjoyed “Fat Tuesday”,  and for many today is “Ash Wednesday”.  What is “Ash Wednesday”, you may ask. This day is a “Roman Catholic/Christian” practice. It is the First day of Lent.  It’s official name is “Day of Ashes,” so called because of the practice of rubbing palm leaf ashes on one’s forehead in the sign of the cross.  It falls exactly 40 days before “Easter”.  Lent is intended to be a time of fasting, forsaking of sinful activities and habits and moderation.  (giving up chocolate for example)  My goal was to introduce and share with you what this day means and why the ashes are on the foreheads of so many.

I want to take this time to thank those who have donated to “Kickstarter.” Myself and Kaity are so very happy and honored to have you as part of our team. The end result is to be a voice to help guide so many struggling with the many challenges and hurdles that epilepsy may cause.

Remember..Epilepsy, Let’s talk about it.

Have a wonderful day.

Maria
