“Living with Epilepsy.” “Let’s talk about it.”

Good Evening Friends,

The last few days I have been away, so I have not had the opportunity to publish articles, but I have had you on my mind and in my heart.

Earbuds in, listening to an incredible and moving song, by Prince & The Revolution “Purple Rain”, Prince was a legendary singer who had several health issues to deal with during his lifetime.  One of his the struggles he had been faced with was the diagnosis of  epilepsy.  His faith helped him with the many challenges that epilepsy brought to his life. He turned to his passion and given talent of music, this became his guiding force to not let epilepsy define who he was as a person. Please add this song to your playlist, the lyrics are so powerful.   So this song is perfect for today, as many of you know, today (March 26th) is “Epilepsy Awareness Day” otherwise known as  “Purple Day”.  People are encouraged to wear the color to increase awareness of Epilepsy.  Nearly 50 Million people around the world live  with epilepsy.  Epilepsy is a treatable condition, but confusing especially for children.  Please take the time out to learn more about epilepsy. Wear purple and post to social media.  Special thanks to my son, family, dear friends and boyfriend for all of your support during my epilepsy awareness advocacy.

Remember, Epilepsy… Let’s talk about it.

Enjoy your evening.
