“Living with Epilepsy.” “Let’s talk about it.”

Good Evening Friends,

As usual, earbuds in listening to “Sugar” by Maroon 5 and singing along! This song is one of a kind, the lyrics tell a story of true undying love. If you already do not have it on your playlist, please add it…

So, today I would like to touch upon the difference between true love and passion verses wasting your time and energy in a “Titanic” type relationship.  If you get that gut feeling when you are with your significant other where you feel the need to wear a life preserver, that is your “red flag” that this person is not for you and maybe you should check the treds on your sneakers so you can get out fast.  Well, when there is true love, both parties need to be willing to bend to come to a compromise and willing to change when there is any type or need for bending.  Both need to be like a “Twizzler”.  If you know in the deepest part of your heart and soul that this person is your one and only, and they prove it through kindness, caring and some sacrificing, he or she is a keeper. If you feel, like you are walking on eggshells when with this person, boy oh boy, either have a heart to heart talk about the various issues and work on them together.  I grew up watching those I loved most not being able to compromise, or bend therefore, today I am the poster child for compromise and yes I am a fan of “Twizzlers”.  Personally speaking I have been through challenging relationships, where I was the only one compromising and felt quite like the proverbial “doormat”.  It is very lonely on that side.  When it is time to meet Mr. or Ms. right I promise it will happen.  Remember, you are all beautiful, smart and filled with love.  Never settle for second best.

“When you are willing to compromise and make sacrifices for someone, that’s where you feel true love.”- Unknown

Remember…Epilepsy, Let’s talk about it….

Keep Smiling,

(Tea for Two)
